SEXY MAKEUP….It’s so easy!
In the next few days, the media and commercial retailers will begin to bombard us with ads for Valentine's Day, the “day of love,” etc, etc, etc... I don't know if you have a significant other or not, but why wait for a certain day to feel (or make ourselves) sexy?? So this year we’ll start things a bit ahead of time – in today's newsletter I’ll teach you step-by-step how to create a sexy and easy makeup look!

Being sexy isn’t just about fixing ourselves up and dressing sensually. The key is to feel sexy…but how do you do that? Here’s some advice:

Skin

The first step to feeling sexy is to make the most of your skin, not facial skin, but that of your entire body. Take a nice bath and use some hydrating salts to exfoliate your entire body. Apply moisturizing lotion all over when you get out. Try one of those new delicious-smelling lotions that also leave your skin with a soft shimmer...You'll love them!

Getting Ready

This is important! Once you get out of the tub or shower, put on your bathrobe, apply body lotion, pull your hair off of your face, and put on your sexiest lingerie….This will help get you in the mood. I have friends that even wear heels when putting on makeup! Hey, if it works for you, why not?

Makeup step-by-step

Now we’ll begin with sexy makeup…take out your makeup brushes and get out the following products so it will be easier to get done up:

• Shimmer serum for your skin
• Eye contour cream
• Moisturizing lotion
• Concealer for undereye circles and red spots, if you normally use it
• Foundation
• Loose powder (if you normally use it)
• Illuminating powder, or if you don’t have any, you can use a shimmery white eyeshadow
• Eyeshadow in the following colors: Pink, dark purple, black, and shimmery white for highlighting
• Black eyeliner
• Black mascara
• Pink blush and blush in a tawny shade
• Lipstick in a mauve shade (similar to the color of your lips)
• Berry-colored lip gloss

Skin

First clean and moisturize your skin, using the eye contour cream first, followed by a highlighting serum. If you don't have one, you can get some beauty capsules that are sold in pharmacies for around 3€ to 6€ per dose.
Apply a moisturizing lotion and moisturize your lips as well…let your skin absorb the product, and you're ready to begin your makeup.

Foundation
The next step is to apply your makeup base. Once you’ve applied concealer to camouflage minor imperfections, apply foundation, and then use matte loose powder (if you use it normally). For a sexy touch, apply illuminating powder over your forehead, cheekbones, and chin. If you don’t have any, you can use a shimmery eyeshadow.

Eyes

Next it’s time to put the focus on your eyes. Follow these steps for sexy peepers:

• Apply the pink eyeshadow over the entire lid

• Apply the dark purple eyeshadow at the upper lash line and under the lower eyelashes

• Apply the black or gray eyeshadow just at the corners of your eyes

• Apply the white eyeshadow on the browbone

• Use black pencil to line the inside rim of your eye, if you have big eyes. If you have small eyes, you can instead use a cream or white pencil

Apply two coats of mascara

And you’re done!

Cheeks
First apply the tawny-colored blush to define the face, and then apply the pink shade on the apples of the cheeks to add a touch of glamour and freshness. Finally, blend the two together.

Lips

An important note about pulling off this sexy makeup look….be sure to moisturize your lips daily to keep them at their juiciest and sexiest. Then, when you are ready to pull out all the stops, line lips in a berry tone and fill them in as well. Next, put a dab of clear gloss in the center of your lips and spread it around and…voilà!

The finishing touch is your hair. If you're going for a sexy look, there is nothing better than leaving it down. Remember to spritz your locks lightly with perfume and make waves with a large barrel curling iron for that slightly carefree look.
